About

How Myia Found Chiropractic

Myia was first introduced to chiropractic care after sustaining a concussion while playing soccer at San Jose State University. That initial visit to a chiropractor sparked her interest in the body’s ability to heal and perform at its best with the right support. Myia went on to play professional soccer in Norway and Germany, where regular chiropractic care became essential for staying in peak physical condition. Experiencing many benefits firsthand, Myia saw chiropractic care as a way to maintain physical health as well as a deeply fulfilling and socially engaging career.

A Path Inspired by Experience

Myia pursued shadowing experiences with chiropractors and heard stories of how care transformed people’s lives, she was inspired to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic at Life West University. While studying there, she played on the university’s rugby team—taking and dishing out plenty of hits and relying on regular adjustments to stay strong and injury-free. She often says she doesn’t know how she would’ve made it through those intense three years without chiropractic care.

Philosophy of Care

Myia believes in the natural healing power of the body. She understands that while our bodies are incredibly resilient, when life happens,  our bodies need a little guidance to get back on track. Her approach is rooted in respect for each person’s unique journey and a desire to support holistic wellness.

Outside the Clinic

When she’s not adjusting or doing vestibular rehab, Myia can be found playing soccer, practicing yoga, hiking, lifting weights, painting, reading or spending time with her two beloved cats, Mable and Gemma.
